Flashworks Reminder Post #2

This is your end-of-challenge reminder for challenge #3: ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. Only a couple of days left (challenge closes May 16th), and there are two lovely submissions so far (check them out here).

Also, don't forget that running concurrent with this challenge is a Three Weeks for Dreamwidth challenge. There are prizes for most flashworks posted (any and all types), most recs posted (independent of flashworks - recs on any queerly gen works) and most comments made on eligible posts (meaning recs or flashwork posts in the community).

Some pertinent information:
Recs do not have to be of works on Dreamwidth; the rec just has to be posted to the community.

If you wish to be considered for prizes, please add the Three Weeks for Dreamwidth tag to your entry. Currently there are two recs, but neither are tagged. You can tag your own entry, so if you posted a rec and want to be considered, please go back and add the three weeks for dreamwidth tag.

You can post multiple recs in one post, or make several posts, one for each rec. It's the number of recs that count, not the number of posts.

I have had a really long week and my brain is REALLY slow, so let me make sure I understand this.

If I write a queerly gen ficlet, post it to this community, and tag it "three weeks for dreamwidth" by tomorrow night, then I'm good to go?

Do you mean to put your hat in the ring for the contest? Then it has to be a queerly gen zombie apocalypse fic. The three categories are: 1. zombie apocalypse fanworks, 2. recs of any stripe and 3. comments.

Ohhhh. Okie doke, I shall bow out this contest then. Zombie apocalypses just make me shake my head and go "huh?" lol.

You could do recs! And you can post queerly gen stories any time, it's just that for the contest, we're specifically looking at flashworks (zombie apocalypse).

*nod nod* that makes sense. I got confused because I thought it was any flashwork, and that the zombie thing was a separate contest. Anyway, I'll see if I can find anything to rec. I don't know of any stories offhand that are both queer and gen but I'll think about it :-)

Ah, well yes. But the flash part of flashwork means our current flashwork challenge, which is zombie apocalypse. Does that make sense?

And they don't have to be super queer (or super gen, for that matter - there can be sexual or romantic content (check the earliest posts of the comm for discussion about this)), they just have to be stories with queer characters that are not mostly about their relationship. I'm not sure I made that clear... let me know if I need to try again.

Alas, the problem is more that a trip to Scotland has eaten into my writing time, and pacing up and down and cursing my net connection really isn't helping! What I will do is extract a drabble from what's already written, and post that tonight, and put up the rest at a later date, I think. So... keep it open another twelve hours - pretty please?

Is it ironic that as soon as my life cleared enough for me to write zombie apocalypse fic, I got so ill I could hardly move?
