This is a somewhat embarrassing post to make, but I think I should let you know that I've been in a minor accident and it may cause a bit of delay in getting things up and running here. It looks like I have co-mods (yay! and I'll announce them as soon as we've all emailed together to confirm), and I'm going to do what I can to work with them to keep things going, but we hadn't gotten a chance to coordinate among ourselves before this happened.

(Before anyone gets a chance to worry: I'm fine; my injuries aren't serious and are likely to heal within a couple of weeks (knock wood), but they may temporarily interfere with my ability to wear glasses or contacts, which (if that ends up being the case) will make it difficult for me to be at the computer for more than a couple of minutes at a time.)

Co-mods: I'm going to try to get an email off to you later today, and once I've done that I'll work on setting you up as maintainers on the community.

Everyone else: there's a lot of support for the idea of a prompt-based fest to kick things off, possibly paired with some kind of recs fest. I'd intended to get all the community rules and guidelines up first, so that people who were suggesting prompts or creating works had the parameters from the get-go. But if my time on-line is shortened for the next few days, flexing that plan could mean allowing things to get moving sooner. Do you think it'd work if my co-mods and I just focused on posting the final definitions of sexual minorities, gender minorities, and gen for now, along with a kick-off date, and aimed to get the rest of the rules and guidelines up a couple days prior to when people started posting or reccing works? Will that give creators and reccers enough structure to start going?

Thanks for your patience; it's appreciated.
