Prompts for flashwork challenge #5!

Okay, so it seems there are at least a few people interested in continuing the flashfic challenges. We're going to try to keep these on a monthly schedule, so post your prompt ideas here (try here, here, and here for previous prompt ideas) in a comment, and we'll do a poll next week. So far our challenges have been road trip, stay up late, zombie apocalypse, and military. Anything that hasn't been used yet is fair game (even if it's been nommed before).

Feel free to ask questions in the comments too.

It's just been announced that LGBTfest won't be happening this year, so how about a flashfic challenge to use an old LGBTfest prompts? There are tens of thousands of unfilled prompts for all kinds of fandoms - and loads for "any fandom" - from 2008 to 2010 that can be found at the prompts tag.

If you decided to go ahead with that challenge then you could post at LGBTfest linking to this community too, which might attract a bunch of new people (i.e. the people bemoaning the loss of LGBTfest).

I like the idea of that, but I just read on my flist that there's a new comm opening up - queer_fest? I think they plan to pick up the slack?

At any rate, I am going to put this off until the next flashfic at the earliest just so we can get things moving (as I'd need to talk to the mods over there and deal with permissions etc.). Thank you very much for the suggestion, and I will look into it.
